Amplified column PA system with a 2000 W peak output, a built-in mixer and Bluetooth, allowing stereo streaming to two POLAR MKII units. Designed for musicians and DJs, and for applications that need a high level of bass. Padded protective covers are included.
With the new POLAR 15 MKII, HK Audio expands its range of active column systems with a model particularly suited to DJs, musicians and event professionals. Equipped with a 15-inch subwoofer, this new generation focuses on powerful sound reproduction, complete connectivity and simplified setup. With an integrated mixer, DSP audio processing and the M20 FlexMount fixing system, it combines the essential features needed for performances in a variety of configurations, without multiplying equipment.
The POLAR 15 MKII places particular emphasis on low-frequency reproduction. Its 15-inch speaker, installed in a large multiplex wood cabinet, is designed to limit unwanted resonances and deliver powerful, precise bass. This is an asset for DJs who want impact in their sets, but also for bands with drums, acoustic groups using a cajón, and performances that need a solid foundation in the low end.
The column section is no less impressive. It includes six 3-inch midrange speakers with neodymium magnets, combined with a 1-inch tweeter and a constant-directivity horn. This configuration reproduces voices and instruments with clarity, while providing 120° horizontal dispersion to cover the audience widely. The column's aluminium profile helps reduce unwanted vibrations and preserve reproduction quality, even as volume increases.
Connect your sources and control your sound directly
The POLAR 15 MKII also includes a 4-channel mixer, allowing several sources to be connected without necessarily using an external console. Two XLR/jack combo inputs accept microphones or line signals, such as from a keyboard or mixing desk. A high-impedance instrument input lets you plug in a guitar directly, while a stereo RCA auxiliary input accepts DJ equipment or audio players. The microphone inputs also have switchable phantom power, useful for condenser microphones.
The control panel groups the level settings, a master volume, an LCD screen and a Push-to-Edit control that gives access to the system's parameters. To adapt the sound to each performance, the built-in DSP offers three sound modes, Music, Voice and DJ, as well as a three-band equaliser with semi-parametric mids. You can fine-tune your sound and store up to five custom presets to quickly recall your usual setups. A delay function also makes it possible to integrate the POLAR 15 MKII into a distributed sound system.
To simplify music playback, the POLAR 15 MKII features Bluetooth 5.0, allowing audio to be streamed from a compatible smartphone or tablet. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) goes further by allowing two POLAR MKII units to be wirelessly paired to reproduce a genuine stereo Bluetooth signal. This is an attractive solution for DJs and event providers who want to expand their setup without adding audio link cables for Bluetooth playback. A USB-C charging port on the control panel can also keep a smartphone, tablet or rechargeable wireless microphone receiver charged during use.
For performances requiring more low-frequency power, HK Audio also offers the option of adding one or two PORTABLE SUB 115 A or PORTABLE SUB 118 A active subwoofers. This allows the installation to be progressively adapted to the demands of different events, without necessarily replacing the main equipment.
The POLAR 15 MKII uses a redesigned connection system between the subwoofer and the column sections for a stable, play-free assembly. The ergonomic MultiGrip handles, together with additional grips on the top and bottom of the subwoofer, make loading, setup and dismantling easier. A padded cover for the subwoofer and a carry bag for the column sections come as standard. A dedicated wheeled trolley is available as an option to make the system easier to move.
Another feature especially useful for mobile DJs is the M20 FlexMount, a threaded insert built directly into the subwoofer. It allows a compatible mounting bar to be attached for a compact lighting rig or other stage accessories, without necessarily needing an additional stand. This integration helps reduce floor space, limits the equipment to transport and organises the performance area more efficiently. A practical detail that becomes especially valuable when installations and teardowns follow one another.
